@Anonymous: So wrong it's painful.
"In Sweden, the Social Democratic Party held power from 1936 to 1976, 1982 to 1991, and 1994 to 2006."

@Harbltron: Population of Sweden: 9,453,000
Population of United States: 314,412,000
GDP of Sweden: $381.719 billion
GDP of United States: $15.094 trillion
Apples and oranges.
Socialism does not work.

You're really good at saying something without actually saying anything at all; the figures you're dragging out have what relevance to what, aside from not addressing what I said at all?
You stated that Socialism cannot work, due to "history". I then pointed out that the social democratic party in Sweden held office for 40 years solid, then for 9, and again for 12 (because systems that are untenable obviously have longevity, right?).
Obviously the U.S.A. is not Sweden, but in what fashion does that groundbreaking discovery effect the viability of socialism? Aside from being a false dichotomy that's about as strong as a candle in a hurricane?1 -

@Harbltron: Oh sorry, I thought you would've put it together. Well, here's a more direct approach:

@Plox: If someone enjoys something a lot, naturally they will do it a lot. This is what is called a "habit." When people talk about drug addiction, they mean drugs that actually alter your chemistry in a way that you can become dependent, like meth. Marijuana is not addictive. Period. Sure it's not a great habit to have, but this kind of logic just perpetuates ignorance.

@Anonymous: That revelation improved my childhood so much. Once I learned Santa wasn't real, I stopped believing in boogeymen under the bed, monsters in the closet, ghosts watching me poop, Jesus coming to kick my ass on judgment day, Willy Wonka kidnapping me and making me go in his scary-ass boat ride, and all that other stuff that makes childhood one big fucking horror movie inside your head.

Did you forget what happened in the 8 years before he was president?
Your nation and it's self-imposed selective amnesia confounds me.2 -

@Harbltron: The scary thing is that Romney would have probably won (I suspect), if he'd stayed out of vaginas.
