@leod: I don't think a sub-par sticker pack would be any more of a problem than a sub-par thread with up-to-par stickers. Actually, I think it would be even less of a problem, because you can only see the sub-par stickers when you're inside the thread, but you can still potentially see sub-par posts from a sub-par thread when you're Exploring or Dashboarding.

You're right to predict a barrage of crappy stickers though, especially since you can't sticker a sticker to let everyone know how crappy/good it is! But it's the GOOD ones that'll be remembered and re-used in other threads. (I'd hope. I for one am trying not to think too much about the possibility of a Zach Braff sticker pack...) And there would certainly be some sneaky trolling. People would make sticker packs where the cookie and the #1 are switched, and then post pictures of cookie monster, for example.

and why the remixer is getting laggy these days? If I'm not mistaken I recall it is after the sticker rain gone. Pls fix this This makes me lazy to remix because without the remixer getting laggy I already spent hours just to remix one pic, hehe.

@nsbarr: I personally liked how the theme only changed when your sticker tipped the scales. Also, If someone saves up 150 for a Fuck Yeah it seems kinda shitty to show your own LOL instead of the epic stickers theme.

I loved the sticker rain in it's original state. Just watching them plop down was fun and made the site seem more "alive"

As for sticker experience - I'd just like to see a wider selection of stickers for free and also in the shop. Some user created ones and maybe some of the older ones. (The music note sticker would be perfect if you brought back audio remixes)

Maybe you could have a 3 pack of User Created stickers every month in the shop for 10 gold coins each with a portion of the sales going to the sticker creators?

@SQ_Minion: You know what would be cool? To see what sticker you gave to a post ONLY in the "stickered" page on your profile. So let's say I give you a "LOL" sticker, and you go to my profile to see if I gave you a sticker. You would see that from all the stickers you got, the LOL came from me.

But on the threads and on the front page I think it is really cool to have the theme based on the top sticker. That way we can see the real weight of the stickers and not just a "personal" view on what is happening on the threads.

@Tati5001: Yeah, I had the same idea a little while ago--I think the Stickered page is the perfect place to show that information, and there's really no good reason to show it anywhere else.

@nsbarr: I am just curious. When canv.as changed and you could only see the stickers on a post after stickering it, what was the idea behind this? Ok the majority of the users didn't like it, but I am guessing canv.as had a good idea behind it, no?

@nsbarr: 1/ Theme of the post based on the total stickers [could be cool if it got free epics btw from certain combo's of stickers as it would be kinda fun]. I'm not sure why anyone would want to know what sticker they gave it but you could highlight that when you hover over the post by having the sticker they gave being larger in the same way the main sticker is now or some such similar. If people are support keen make it an optional tick box in the options page to switch between then two then you have best of both worlds. Alternatively you could have the sticker theme on your page [the one that shows what posts you have stickered if that still exists] to show your sticker, but on the explore/thread to show the main theme sticker. Also for people who dont want to see, make it an optional so they can turn it on and off as they want, that way everyone is happy.

2/ sticker rain was fine, but i really dont care that much about it as I was offline when it normally happened, but if it could be done well it was a very neat and original indication of activity. That it was original actually made the site stand out from the pack, similar with the old explore page looks etc.

3/ Bring back Pinning [even if it is just as a sticker that you can use as well as a normal sticker but not instead] I dont like having to go through and hunt for stuff. Also bring back the unique sticker packs, it is a massive shame not to still have them as it again added to the sites originality and fun, the cat stickers, and the minecraft stickers were awsome, even if it was just tied to the first tag on a post instead of to a group like it was before [so first tag is cats then the cats sticker pack is the one used etc]

4/ Bring back Audio remixer as it was awsome and totally original, and add a gif remixer to the site. Pics are nice but the Audio/Animation remixing would be really cool, original and fun though the audio remix tool would need to be vastly improved, even if it was only selecting par…

@Anonymous: A question mark, for me, doesn't indicate that kind of not understanding. If I see a post I find offensive I downvote it, and if I want to learn about it text replies work handily.
The issue I have with the Qmark is its spamming use. It's somewhat abuse, kind of like cookies. Realistically, I don't use it much. Seeing as that kind of "wow what's that?" usually is cause for a :O face, not a Qmark. But, sometimes there are posts that are genuinely confusing, like complicated philosophy or math... but those seem far and in-between here.

I feel that coolguy shouldn't be an unlimited sticker because that's not what it implies. To me, coolguy implies that it's "the coolest" rather than "kinda cool, I suppose". I just don't like the idea of hundreds of coolguys all over canvas because of cool posts... it kind of dilutes the impact of the sticker. It'd be like if ForeverAlone was only five. It reduces its importance, and I don't like that. Besides, our sticker layout is fine, I think. More stickers or replacing stickers is a little weird, considering that we have a really quite the nice array. The only one I'd like to see would be an "epic" sticker for an unimpressed face. But that's it.

✔ Introduce some interesting features that become popular.
✔ Make some changes that cause several people to loudly complain.
✔ Make some drastic changes, including the removal of earlier popular feature(s), causing even more butthurt.
✔ Return one or more of the popular features. Complaints return to a lower level than they were after the initial changes.

One expensive sticker outweighs 50 smiley faces.
That is American democracy, and (if sticker voting is meant to be democracy) it has seeped on to Canv.as.

(I support the top sticker system as seen in threads, I just wouldn't call it democratic. :P )

@Anonymous: Well, canvas IS based in the United States, so I don't see why our form of democracy wouldn't be the way to run things on this site. I like the idea of epic stickers, but I don't see it as something "for the rich."

- I love the old sticker mechanism.
-Theme should only change if the the top sticker changes.
- Know the number of the biggest amount of stickers was important, and know epics could make a difference to change that amount was also important.
- Now you go to #explore just to find white posts everywhere, and your (probably) poor stickers are the ones that count when you see the post. :( No amount of stickers, just yours.
- Only inside a thread things are working as they should.
