@abeeiamnot: DQIX is really good. Well, the main game (which lasts quite a while) is good.
Even though you can do a lot of cool stuff after the main game finishes, I did a few dungeons and then couldn't be bothered to do anymore because it started to feel repetitive, which the main game did not.

@MDL: I definitely plan on playing IX, and I'm sure it will go the same way as it did for you; I'll play the main story and then let it go. Problem is even though the games don't follow each other plot-wise, I wanna go through them chronologically, so I still have a while to go before I get to it.

@PrivateTaco: I have trouble respecting a game where you can progress by spending real money on things. But I respect that you and many of my friends highly enjoy this game.

@Acidsmooth: It doesn't matter to me if others progress through purchases. It's not like this is a competitive game or one that even has an ending. I'll also add that you can get everything the game has to offer for free and the same goes for the dragons -if you have the patience. There's a lot of trial and error and a lot of waiting, but I think that's just makes it all the more rewarding and worth coming back to. The in app purchases also help out the developers and let the rest of us enjoy the game for free and without looking at a single ad. I think everyone benefits from the way it's set up right now.

As you can tell, I'm really into this game. haha. A few of my friends got tired of it already, but I just love making my park look awesome. I was also this obsessed with Viva Pinata for the same reason. I wish they'd make one for iOS. :(
