@Acidsmooth: People flagged the shit out of my remixes back in the beta days for a "Fuck"... since then i always try to bleep it, but as you can see in some of my remixes i tend to forget it.
-
@WaltGillette: The only thing I've had flagged are fat women in lingerie with food. Must really rub someone...
2 -
@WaltGillette: I find this highly upsetting. Who was flagging for the word "fuck?" The CoC doesn't say you can't use bad words. Seriously if they take my ability to use the word fuck in a non sexual way, I really will leave Canv.as no matter how much I like the remixer and stickers. Censorship is one thing I will not stand for.

@Acidsmooth: I'm pretty sure you can say fuck as much as you want. If you haven't noticed, there is even a sticker that uses fuck. So yeah, fuck fuck fuck fuck fuckity fuck fuck fuck.

@Anonymous: Yea, looks like Busey strikes again in his pants tonight? Possibly after an argument with himself about who's got shit for brains. He just doesn't make much sense but he's always got some good shit prepared when he's out.

The old setup was fine. I miss having a onscreen notification when I get more stickers, now I have to look up at the bar thing now. I also hate that the total amount of stickers aren't shown automatically and what the hell is up with me not being able to other user's sticker counts? What's the point of that? Also, no audio remix, again, that was a very innovative part of the site and they just took it away. What the fuck is the hold up? It just feels this place gets fancier and fancier but the population gets smaller and smaller, more aggravated and less bent on making good remixes. I've stopped coming as much as I did because the Canvas Team doesn't seem to listen to their users which could have been a good thing about this site, but instead they ignore that aspect.

@Heji: Why would they want more users in BETA... it would just mean more complaints. If you are going to go BIG, you go in your final form. Who goes on a first date in their workout clothes? Never mind trying to make changes with increased traffic and a multiple number of posts by users... ?
22 -
@JaneSmith: Is this the final form? Really? After all this time this is it? The first form felt better than this. Now, I may get used to it but it doesn't mean it's better. The site itself doesn't make sense. Stickers are now a after thought, especially on the Dashboard which you can't see sticker numbers or what sticker was put on what. Why would they hide that? Also, do you think the average user is going to get used to navigating this mess of a site? It's all over the place and feels super clunky.
31 -
@Heji: I don't think you give the users enough credit, not all of us have that difficult a time adapting to changes... and I would hardly call it clunky or a mess, it isn't even that different. The additional features are great and the performance is going to be even better... you seem to still be able to do what you do best on cavn.as.
22 -
@JaneSmith: This place is very different. Are we looking at the same website? From how you see stickered images, to how you see your and others profile pages to how you tag and categorize your images/remixes have all been changed. It's a vague approach unlike it's earlier version which seemed to be more exact and may I dare say connected, even without the "following" of name friends. But alas, it's just my opinion, maybe I'm cranky they still don't have the audio remixes, who knows.

@Ozzmium: If you don't like Canvas then gggggeeettttt out. Right, well, nobody said anything about leaving and having complaints doesn't diminish my likeness for the site. I still like Canvas even though I don't agree with some major things however the core of remixing is still intact and that's what matters the most. Pointing out the flaws is a right of a user, I'm not forcing you to read my complaints either and I'm certainly not forcing the Canvas mods to follow suit. Again, just my humble opinion that I could voice on a site that is community based in some way, some may agree and probably many will disagree.

@Ozzmium: You seem to like to throw around "deal with it" a lot. You know who else said "deal with it"? Hitler and Stalin. Also, this is indeed a criticism and bitching thread to which my posts are appropriate. You deal with it and stop assuming things, just because I'm not mindlessly licking the sites boot heels doesn't mean I condemn all of Canvas as a failure. It's still a place with much potential.

@Heji: I didn't like when they removed audio remixes, made monocles free, or took away the default of "post anonymously" but I got over it. Also, I criticize canvas much more than you'd think, but noone would want to see me writing entire classes and methods of code because this is a site geared towards people with Art majors and extroverts rather than Science majors and introverts.
But I got over it after realizing that this is a free service that moot provides for us, AND I can hoard up banana stickers to bomb threads with.
Hoard banana stickers and bomb threads, you'll be able to...21 -

@Ozzmium: Being passive about changes that YOU don't like won't make this a better site. A free site that we populate and add to. Without the user's there wouldn't be a site. Also, it isn't provided, it's not a necessarily anything we need but it's something we use as a creative workbench. If someone came up to a drawing table I use and switched everything around, made dramatic changes to my materials and told me I can only do certain things I'd say something and this is no different. If you don't like it, say something, don't just get over it. The Canvas team does make mistakes and it's up to fellow Canvasaurs to voice their opinion. I've done that, it's out there, now I'm done until they make some other crazy change.

@WeightFOURit: Now say that to Bane's face. I bet he values your opinion on his attire.

@Heji: So just because YOU don't like something means that nobody else likes it? The interface is a hell of a lot cleaner, I get to make subscriptions to people whose remixes I enjoy, and my screen doesn't look like a unicorn puked a rainbow on my screen. Some people actually enjoy those things you know.

@WeightFOURit: popped collars on overcoats are perfectly acceptable. Just dont pop (polo)shirt collars. the latter is douchey indeed.
