I just got home from a long night of open-mic comedy. My set was going great till I dropped the F-bomb. I think I did it in a classy way, but thanks to the current PC backlash to Daniel Tosh and Chick-fil-a the same F-bomb that isn't allowed on this site brought instant silence. It was hard to recover from and I'm not sure going into a joke about banging 16 year-olds was the best way to go. Of course the comedians in the back of the room loved it. Not that I think any of this is particularly interesting, I just have been drinking Prohibition Ale all night at The Brainwash, a laundromat/cafe that has a comedy night. Then I was invited to this thread, THANKS JERM, and I figured I'd come in and ramble drunkenly about my night, complain about the PC crowd, and post a fresh picture image.
Pictured: Prohibition Ale from Speakeasy of San Francisco. It's aggressively hopped similar to an IPA but it's tempered by caramel malt to create a perfectly balanced amber ale. It's probably my favorite local brew.1 1 -

@Anonymous: Ha! That would have been a good way to go with that. I'm just not touching it because every comic in SF has their joke about rape jokes now so the scene is a bit saturated at the moment. My friend's bit is about clowns raping each other. I told him it wouldn't go over well with that crowd. He did it anyway. We both crashed and burned tonight.

@Anonymous: I'm really not much of a fan of vodka. I prefer dark spirits with more flavor, though I do understand the appeal of vodka.

@Gearmond: I had this beer De Molen SSS Tuesday. I'd say it's incredibly classy. I took my phone out to take pics of the bottle but I guess I never followed through so here's an image of the label in a readable size.

@burmese69: Non joke answer: It's getting there. My best bits elicit LOLs consistently. I've only been in the game a year. I'm getting booked on more shows and other comedians are complementing me more. I recently did a booked set at Our Little Theater at Ellis and Taylor for an amazing crowd of 2 tourists but I've also done really well for crowds of over 100. I perform regularly at 222 Hyde on Tuesdays, sometimes Thursdays. It's an open-mic so I usually just try new stuff out there. I have a video from 8 months ago, but I was only 3 months in when I shot it so I'm not as proud of those jokes as I was then. My delivery on the video is also pretty lame since I was so nervous about being on my first booked show. I don't think it's an accurate portrayal of my current comedy ability so I'm not going to post the link to Canv.as again, but here's where I've posted a clip already because it was relevant to the thread. I'm five days late to this thread but i was with you in spirit.
First summer festival of this year for me and other parties in my house, so the last seven days were crazy, i was drunk and stoned almost 24/7 this last 7 days. Hangover now.
