You don't need to "scare" people from leeching your wifi. They aren't hackers. They're just freeloaders. A password (that isn't "password123" or "boobs") usually does the job. :) -

There are no longer any open wifi routers around my house because I logged into them all, enabled encryption, and changed the router admin passwords on them to "fuckingmoron".
Just one of the many public services I perform. Oh... and my neighbors are bastions of creativity, too.

Incidentally, about half of the wifi names around me appear to be random jumbles of letters and numbers. What are the chances that those people use their wifi name as their password, I wonder... -
