@Coutoon: For the record it wasn't even my idea, the name also was someone's else idea. I think it's what's great about canv.as. A few people work on one idea and with all the powers combined the magic happens.

prolly the gracious amounts of pretension and lack of actual talent

that said i kno a bunch of really awesome artists on da (skills and personality), it just has such a large user base of art students...

@sanamkan: But you know what? We'll keep the good ones. The "bad" DA people - the ones who are responsible for a lot of the "lulz" documented on ED, the R34 Sonicfriends, and so on - they won't want to be here on Canv.as. And we won't even have to be antagonistic to them for them to leave of their own accord. Once they realise that Canvas is a community of *WORKSAFE* artists who work collaboratively for shared glory as opposed to a community of insecure teenagers desperate to kiss each other's arses for making kawaii recolours of anime characters, they'll quickly scuttle back to their sheltered little enclave of sycophants.
But the good ones, the ones who support and enjoy the aims of Canv.as, will remain. This has been known to happen when other art-related sites or forums get an influx of DeviantArtlets. The ones who aren't interested in anything but themselves inevitably go back to their harems on DA without having to be told to.

I think canv.as isn't a nice environment to be in sometimes... I think better stuff would happen if it wasn't as restrictive with CoC! I want to be able to draw a cock and get away with it. I'm not vulgar or anything but sometimes you just have to draw a penis or vagina or whatever...

I think these restrictions have banished a lot of creative people who just feel trapped by the CoC

@Anonymous: I don't find it strict anymore. Actually I'm glad that canv.as isn't flooded with porn, gore and poor sexually related remixes. Not that I wouldn't find bright side of this and probably post some (or a lot of) NSFW content. It just happens I love canv.as the way it is. In fact I'm a little bit tired of disturbing content from the web. I just have enough sometimes and canv.as is a great place to escape from it.

Maybe sanv.ac should become a NSFW canv.as?

@Coutoon: that is what I'd want! a place where you can remix without limitations using the canv.as remix tool. Basically 4chan but with a remix tool. Don't get me wrong I also appreciate having somewhere that's SFW, it is refreshing to a point
