@Anonymous: Braff friendotry aside. Nothing about that movie looks good. From the actors to the amount of money spent on it, to the fact it's a prequel to the Wizard of Oz. It's just shaping up to be nothing but a spectacular flop.

@Anonymous: Raimi could pull it off. I think he's a hell of a director (or was in his day), and he's purposefully picked "none a-list" actors. I'm not sure why, but it's a decision on his part anyway,

@Anonymous: I always suspected that Zach Braff himself was the one who started Braffing everything, and this just clenched it.

@Anonymous: I don't know man. The only thing I've ever liked directed by him was Evil Dead and the first two Spider-man movies. I'd feel much better if he was just paying for it. He's produced a ton of good things, but as a director he's kinda meh.

@Anonymous: His style (particularly early on, Evil Dead I and II) is actually way more influential than anything he's done. I'm also the opposite - I like what he directs (and he co-wrote the hudsucker proxy) but I pretty much hate what he produces. Boogeyman, the grudge, etc..

@Anonymous: I actually prefer Evil Dead II and Army of Darkness. Don't get me wrong I love Evil Dead, I just prefer the humor in the latter two films.

@Anonymous: A really interesting move Raimi - he made it because his style was holding him back - Warner Brothers told him that he made weird films for weird people. A Simple Plan is simple, stark and, rumor speculates, the coens helped him reign in his kinetic technique.
