@Anonymous: On an Xbox 360, when you unlock an achievement, you earn "G", which is "Gamerscore". It's a ranking system that doesn't really mean anything.

@Anonymous: Good luck, man! I just unlocked it a week ago, and this was exactly what leaped to mind, I'm glad this thread gave me a chance to overshare

@RedmonBray: Attempting to reinstate a relationship model with a node that severed the connection seems gross to me: it's desperate when there's multiple infinities to work with, or to use a colloquialism: "There's plenty of fish in the sea" why go back to one that has tossed you back out into the ocean?

@Anonymous: ... or maybe I have a lot to learn, I always wondered why many origin myths included incest right after the universe's creation.
Perhaps there isn't as many fish as I'd like to imagine! We do share over 90% of our DNA with every other person on this planet (we are all brothers and sisters in some interpretation)...
And then there's these "Archetypes" that psychologists have found to be common in all of us, the collective unconscious that we all share. Which could be the "gods" or representative of these original gods that "procreate" into the wide variety of humans ( or time-binding beings; to use a term from general semantics).
So, I could be wrong in thinking that desperately trying to get back with one particular human/node is actually a cosmic romance being played out instead of disgusting.
Oh we just can't help ourselves can we ;)

@Anonymous: ... and then again, this disgust could come from part of me that sees "natural behavior" to be polyamorous instead of monogamous.
With the poly model the human is part of an interacting fabric of "self" (space/time/consciousness) as opposed to the "individual" model of the universe (If you've seen I <3 huckabee's, how they make the difference between the blanket reality and the hammer)

But of course I'm just being a cosmic schmuck

@Anonymous: just want to point out that we share about 96% of our DNA with chimps, make what you will out of this.

@Anonymous: The whole "There're other fish in the sea" thing doesn't work for me. The ex I want to get back with is an intelligent, fun, cute geeky girl who also found me attractive.
If there are other fish in the sea, they're not anywhere near where I'm swimming. I understand your point of view, but wanting to be with an ex isn't ew from my point of view. Sometimes, after time has passed, an ex can be a perfectly good dating partner again. Been there, done that, would buy again. A++++21 1 -
