@Anonymous: restoring the choice would be a good option, it was a choice for two days, why did they get rid of that option so soon

Honestly though. I don't care if it's what 9gag does. It's what every image site since the dawn of the internet has done.
In addition:
1. Fix the eraser for the Opera browser
2. Make downvoting count as a -1. This has been mentioned before and I cannot endorse it enough. If people lose points for posting Zach Braff everywhere, then maybe they'll fucking stop it. And when we have a homepage of solidly funny images, maybe you'll keep some of the stray visitors.
3. How about people make a push into subscribing to other boards? Almost every post is on #funny just because people know it'll get seen more, and you can't blame them. Split boards so people can see the content they want.3 -

@MirroredDog: this guy knows what's up. canv.as is about participation and tapping into your OWN creativity that may or may not have been neglected for a long time.

@Anonymous: Exactly, every single epic sticker that I've gotten (except for a couple) have been from remixes I've made. CREATIVITY FTW

@Anonymous: And let the #politics drama spill over into the rest of the site? No thanks!
3 -
@Anonymous: Or make it an Hannah Montana. The best of both worlds...
A bit more simple with some features of the new, like the size of things sliders and with other options, and with a little bit less invasive options to the canvas and text options like they were (previews, outlines...) from the older remixer. -

@Neziwi: yep. It's threads like this:

that I think epitomize the charm of canv.as.4 -

@Anonymous: treads like this one epitomize the charm of canv.as
https://canv.as/p/aigrh
the ease of remixing is what sets canv.as apart from any other site1 -
@Anonymous: I "AWWWW"'d so hard at this

@bhudapop: Yes. Anyone can step up and be creative here because the barrier of entry is so low and the userbase is understanding of new users. As long as we remain a bunch of nice, encouraging people, canv.as is working wonderfully. That's what I think, at least.

@Anonymous:
1 - It's not a watermark, it's a footer. Opposite to 9gag, it's optional! You can post a picture somewhere else without it...
For exemple i love to post with the footer because someone can go to the thread just by seeing the image...
Maybe a little bit simple footer was better... But again its optional....
2 - Just because i don't like remixes that add a red dot to the image or you don't like zach it does not mean other users don't love that. Taking points from someone it's a bad idead.
Maybe making the downvote more stronger or more visible (way better!) was a good option. (I use it from time to time in remixes or recent reposts that add nothing to canv.as, but that does not mean other person don't like that).
3 - I wished that there was a good idea for that actually!
I always try to post in the correct group and look forward for good music posts for example, but #music is a poor group because people post in other places. So i user #everything as front page so i don't miss some posts not in the real context...5 -

@Anonymous: #drawcast with a bit more publicity or more live draw contests! It would be awesome also. I loved the last 2x2 draw contest...
But dunno why, caldy don't post here for 3/4 weeks now, and today was live streaming and did not post here again :(2 -

@Anonymous: I didn't post Tim & Eric. Does it look like I would enjoy a show like that?

@calhaus: 1. My idea was for an actual watermark. Something that promotes the site, but doesn't detract from the image. I like that the footer gives the user credit and that it is optional. But sharing an image with your friends or on facebook with the watermark will generate interest.
2. If I don't like the post, but everybody else does, then it won't be a big deal to the creator of the image. But when we see people continually make posts that a grand majority of canv.as doesn't like, I think there should be some form of discouragement for them. I do agree that it isn't a perfect idea because it may also begin to discourage OC, but there must be some way to incorporate this.21
