@Anonymous: If only there was even a single alternative on the internet where people could view and share images of half-naked women without fear of censorship!

@Anonymous: While I agree with you completely, let's be honest. Not very many people would continue to use Canvas. Myself included. The only reason I come back every day is to see what other people have given me and remix and sticker things I like.
I honestly don't think the remix function has really kicked off like moot hoped it would. -

@Anonymous: Take a trip to 4chan and you'll see how well a community can work if OC is not the driving feature of the site. Just stay away from /b/ tho...
-
Anonymous
@Anonymous: I've been on 4chan since 2004
If that's sarcasm though, I'd have to disagree. 4chan has an extremely creative and sometimes wickedly intelligent community. Even though a lot of the same people visit different boards, each board is very different from each other. They each have their own culture, jokes, unspoken rules, etc. So yeah, 4chan has an amazing community.
/b/ can go fuck itself though.21 -

@Anonymous: Would you tell me where it says that?
Because so far I'm noticing a lot of policies that seem to be trying to ween us all OFF of anonymous posting, like making it default to posting with your username and things like that. -
@Anonymous: People are going to sticker circlejerk no matter what. It has nothing to do with if they have a name or not. If anything, having friends could encourage people to make more content in order to have something to show off. This is a site to make pictures. Anon vs name has nothing to do with it.
This is canv.as. Not 4chan.1 1 1 -
On a related note
This is what this site could really use. To detach itself from the idea that memes are the highest form of comedy. To drop all the soedgy 4chan youth culture. To finally stop the anon vs namefriend debate. Canvas has its own culture and we should be embracing it.

@Anonymous: "Cultural" things can't be forced, so it has to happen naturally. If people stopped doing exclusively 4chan things, that would help. I see a lot of
>lol greentexting
on canvas, and the ANON IS LEGUN mentality. That sort of thing has to stop naturally, ie, people here have to stop doing it as a whole before others will follow. Of ourse we have some initial backlash from chan culture, because the site was made by freaking moot and we're still new, but canvas is developing its own culture and it's causing a huge contrast with the people who still treat this site like 4chan. -

@Anonymous: You've certainly showed me. It's great to see you anons using your magical anon powers to bring quality content to the site.
-
Anonymous
@Anonymous: I would argue that it isn't anonymity, it is the duality of usernames and posting anon. Just because you use the anonymous options more frequently, it doesn't mean there aren't parts of the community that are different. Canvas has a balance of both, not one dominating social structure.

@Anonymous: Whoa whoa whoa. I NEVER said that. I just said it doesn't matter if you anon or namefriend, and the debate is completely stupid and brought here because that's a debate on 4chan.

@bleep: I have not seen a single person with the ANON R LEEGUN mentality on Canvas or, for that matter, 4chan either recently.
I must admit, though, I greentext as a writing style is something I've come to use across the entire internet. I know it's not the original usage any more, but it's one way to get my shorthand sarcasm across without confusion.
>reposts until everyone knows his name
>acts like a moderately bright douche at times
>thinks that helps bring credibility to the intelligent things he says2 3
