@Anonymous: To be honest you'll find most drugs probably are 90% plastic/other crap when you come to buy it. To bulk it up and make it heavier and therefore a bigger profit, dealers fill it with shit, on each level of dealing, so eventually you're smoking mostly crap.
So yeh, while the plant might not do too much harm to your body, I'm sure all the other stuff isn't particularly healthy.
That said, I'm not bitching. I've smoked it myself, I have friends that do regularly. Do as you like, as long as you're earning your own money to spend on it and not putting anyone other than your self at risk while doing so. -

I smoke weed for God, since God gave us this plant2 -

@Anonymous: Or you could just get rid of your crutch and live a life without using a plant as a source of synthetic happiness.
That, and I hope even if you get your "dream", somebody kicks over all of your plants, or engineers a virus for them.2 -

@Anonymous: As I said, what if I just like it? Why should I drop something I enjoy? Don't people do the same with alcohol? Or food? Or anything that makes people happy because they enjoy it?
Besides you don't even imagine how much legal plants could be used as drugs, with a little of knowledge.
Please, get out of my freedom... -

@Anonymous: The number one reason is political, thanks to H. J. Anslinger and his political need for a substitute of alcohol near the end of alcohol prohibitionism. And economical, because of petroleoum industries that wanted canapa based fibers to be banished in favor of sinthetyc fibers. Anslinger started a fear campaign associating mexican killers with marijuana consumption, spread a bunch of propagandistic videos showing young pot smokers killing each others laughing like psychos, then came to Europe and imposed this shit as a value.
Here's a quote from him: "There are 100,000 total marijuana smokers in the US, and most are Negroes, Hispanics, Filipinos and entertainers. Their Satanic music, jazz and swing, result from marijuana usage. This marijuana causes white women to seek sexual relations with Negroes, entertainers and any others."
So that's the main reason why it's now illegal, enjoy your dumbness. -

@Anonymous: >So, in other words, freedom is a farce
no it's not, it's just a bit more complex than "HURR DURR UR DIFFERENT GET OUT OF MUH WAY"
>and it's only an intangible social construct
not "only" but true, it's a social construct, but it's far away from being intangible. You know when you are free and when you don't, you can sense it.
>that people can make on the fly.
again, no. People make the concept of freedom in their society, but in a long and complex process that involves cultural and social progress. It's just not on the fly.
>If there's no such freedom like that, then there shouldn't be any freedoms at all.
nonsense, too many things to question.1 -

@Anonymous: >no it's not, it's just a bit more complex than "HURR DURR UR DIFFERENT GET OUT OF MUH WAY"
How so? Somebody wants to be free from something or be free to do something, so they proclaim that freedom and do things to insure that their "freedoms" will not be infringed upon.
>You know when you are free and when you don't, you can sense it.
But how do you know that your "freedoms" are actually "freedoms"?
>nonsense, too many things to question.
No, not at all. Aren't we all created equal? Doesn't that mean all people have the right to create their own freedoms, and if they don't have a right to create those freedoms, then nobody should have that right?
-

@Anonymous:
> Somebody wants to be free from something or be free to do something
something and someone are not the same
> Doesn't that mean all people have the right to create their own freedoms,
no! Nobody say people is free to "create" their freedom, it's just silly. In a society freedoms are defined by, guess what, the society. I can't "create" my freedom to smoke weed, I have to stay hidden or else I get in trouble. In this case society is wrong and that's the problem.
> Aren't we all created equal?
unfortynately we are not, unless we wouldn't need to define rights and rules to preserve those rights. One is stronger, one is smarter, one is richer, but thanks to society we end up a bit more equal to each other, or so it should be.
Concluding: you are not free to take away someone else freedom, unless you are the extablished order.1 -

@Anonymous: Marijuana is a non-habituating drug, by this it is meant that the user of marijuana (when deprived of the substance) will not show any signs of the agonies of withdrawal. In other words: it's use can be easily discontinued.
I suggest you take a look at some charts of physical and psychological addiction, nearly everything ranks above marijuana/cannabis even coffee (caffeine)31 1 -
