I think it's funny that it's such an issue because of race. It was on the news here in the UK .. we don't hear about every white guy shooting white guy or black guy shooting black guy. Race should be irrelevant, unless it's proven that the guy that shot him did it just because he didn't like black people. But even so that's not exactly big news. People are racist and it's bad, the whole world doesn't need to be reminded.
And your stand your ground? law thing... I don't understand, is that like self defence, but it's okay to shoot and kill someone, not just knock them out and run away?
If you kill someone you should be punished... I can't understand any reason why you wouldn't.
