@Anonymous: Technically Bush destroyed America, he left it to Obama to pick up the pieces, which Obama is doing somewhat terribly. But, not trying to turn this into #politics, just don't like seeing injustices dealt where they're not needed. Carry on, my wayward son.

@Sartorius: Let's stop blaming Bush ... and stop blaming Obama too ... the REAL issue is that the United States is currently run by career politicians who have rarely ever held "real" jobs and who excelled more in "playground" than math at school. The policies that have decimated our country started long before Bush or Obama ( I argue the single largest institution of such policies was with FDR, but other Presidents are not immune ).

Honestly ... to fix politics in our country, the best thing we could possibly do is require anyone running for office to have been a successful member of the 'private' community for a minimum of 10 years ... and in something other than being a lawyer. I'm talking about someone who starts and runs a small business, or someone who works for that business ( or even a large company ).

Additionally ... anyone serving in congress or the Presidency should take a cue from George Washington, John Kennedy, and Herbert Hoover and not voluntarily take a salary ( http://wiki.answers.com/Q/Which_US_president_didn%27t_take_his_salary ). Serving should be a position of honor achieved for succeeding in the private sector ... not a career goal of someone who doesn't understand economics.
