Yikes. This thread got really derailed. For any sad soul who made it this far, I just want to re-iterate some of the key points:
1) You don't have to add messages to your epic stickers.
2) Private messages via stickers can't be anonymous (to protect against trolling).
3) Private messages are still subject to the Code of Conduct.
If you have very strong feelings about this feature already, email us at support@canv.as so we can understand where you're coming from.
But honestly, I'd highly recommend trying the feature out for a couple of weeks first. I could be totally wrong, but I think you'll either love it or simply not notice it.

@Anonymous: Yeah, fix this stuff before adding stuff as silly and redundant as this.

Well, this solves the "problem" of threads being interrupted by text posts where people feel the need to identify themselves as the giver of epic stickers, or justify why they gave it, or tell everyone how good it feels to give their first Fuck Yeah, which then causes more arguments about who actually gave the sticker and who cares.
So I dunno what all the fuss is really about. Were people promised a different update that hasn't arrived yet? Patience, kiddies.2 1 -

@Anonymous: It doesn't matter how often it happens or who does it. Now you have an option to shut them up if it really matters that much to you.
If you don't like added options then just leave. Delete your account. Canvas is in beta so a lot of things will continue to be added and changed. If you don't like the site growing, then maybe you just shouldn't be here.21
