@Anonymous: Rush fucking sucks. Having talented instrumentalists doesn't stop you from writing terrible music with embarrassing lyrics

@Anonymous: At least know who you're bitching about. I'm a 28 year old social worker, and my favorite recording artists are Radiohead and Tom Waits.

also lets not forget the majority of shit music comes from america. the ratio of good/bad music from canada is far greater than that of america, which has produced such masterminds as wiz kahlifa, skrillex, insane clown posse, lmfao, lady gaga, creed, limp bizkit... shall i keep going? for every bad canadian band you can think of, there are 5 bad american ones.

@Tati5001: Okay, I agree that they're lame, but those two songs weren't even in the same key. o.O

@sonofnothing: I beg to differ sir, here are some examples of the worst bands of all times. And they all come from Canada
Simple Plan, Three Days Grace, Theory of a Deadman, Broken Social Scene, Finger Eleven, Faber Drive, I Mother Earth, Alexisonfire, Neverending White Lights, Hot Hot Heat, Hedley, The Trews, Metric...1 1 -

@Tati5001: some of those are bad others are pretty terrible.
but if you compare the shittiness of these bands to the shittiness of some of the aforementioned bands you will see that there is huge decline in quality when travelling south of the 49th parallel
>btw alexisonfire, metric, trews these are good
-
@sonofnothing: Ugh I don't like them, but that doesn't mean you are wrong, just that you have bad taste :)
I think the US has more shitty band because they also have more people. If you think about proportions it will be about the same amount of shit. Canada music scene is pretty terrifying, at least here in Toronto. -
@Tati5001: lol ur canadian? and from my hood? how can u be dissin our music scene? there is so much good music goin on, but its pretty underground (you probably haven't heard it). i guess you could say that its a population thing but its also a cultural and intellectual thing. canadians dont just gobble up whatever is forced in their faces.
-
@sonofnothing: I'm not Canadian, but I live here. If we are talking about Toronto, I will have to disagree again, because people from Toronto pretty much want to be americans, including musically. If you are talking about other areas, then I agree. I've been to Montreal and Vancouver many times and it is almost like a different country. Music aside, I do love Toronto.
