@Anonymous: Nice fallacy of exhaustive hypotheses bro.
And you know what? I'll make and attempt to do one better, I will posit to you a question;
Do you believe that a government that is limited to only protecting the life liberty and property of its people is somehow worse off than a central authority that has the power to enact social justice?
In my most humble of opinion, Ill take the former. I don't think that a limited central governemnt somehow grants the power of monarchy to the rich and turns everyone else into peasants. In fact when looking at history, strong central governments (socialist or fascist) end in a tyrannical collapse.
Or heck, maybe I'm completely off base and missed something - do tell me if I have. -

@Anonymous: Oh look! It's the free market fairy here to magically limit the government to only protecting the life, liberty and property of the people!
Without a central government and a little free market magic, local police forces and militias will never be able to abuse their authority. Corporations will voluntarily dismantle their monopolies for the sake of honest competition and innovation. Everyone will be out working harder so they can send their kids to a private school that will teach them only the truth. And health care will be cheap! Because the good doctors and pharmacists won't need any licences. The quality of everything will go up!
The citizens love the free market fairy so much that we're going to go out right now and fix all the infrastructure ourselves!2 1 -

Oh look! It's the socialism fairy here to magically unbind the government to protect the life, liberty and property of the people!
With the all-powerful central government, local police forces and militias will never be able to abuse their authority. Corporations will be forced to dismantle their monopolies for the sake of the Proletariat. Everyone will be out working harder so they can send their kids to the state school that will teach them only the truth. And health care will be cheap! Because the good doctors and pharmacists will all be licensed, regulated and can never make mistakes. The quality of everything will go up!

See what I did there? My point (and I think the libertarian point is) that there are current market regulations that are failing and need to be removed, not all regulation needs to be removed.
