I've yet to hear one solid reason why Obama is a terrible president. I really do want to hear it. Tell me he's tanking the economy, please, I will gobble that shit up.
But in any case, I would much rather live in a stagnant, tax-filled shithole any day than lose a single one of my civil liberties.4 -

@semicomatose: Yeah, like those stagnant northern European shitholes where the streets are paved with gold and going to jail means living in the woods for the duration of the sentence.
-
@Anonymous: I have NO idea what you mean by that. Like, really. Are you having a seizure?

I don't understand why a history of taxing proportional to your wages is now considered "class war-fare". Honestly what Obama is trying to do is make the taxes they way they were before Bush, and really the only way our country can sustain an infrastructure that supports the corporations and wealthy people who are currently being taxed at a historically low rate.

@Anonymous: You're confusing social freedom and economical.
The GOP candidates are all poor examples of what "conservatism" is. Santorum, Gingrich, and Rommy because they, as you said, are guily of wanting to increase federal government to control morals.
Liberals are associated with increasing social freedoms, however the means in which they do that (federal power) will ultimately end just as badly as corporatism.
People think the BC issue is some sort of social issue. It is not. It's an economic issue. There is no such thing as free healthcare. We're all paying for this. We're increasing the ties between government and corporations (drug companies). They're making it a gender/religious issue and ignoring the money and the fundamental problems with FORCING companies to provide a product.
Granted, I'm SURE the drug companies are overjoyed by this. Because they don't have consumers to stop them from lobbying for higher costs to drugstores/hospitals. If a random female consumer isn't paying for a medication, do you think she cares how much it ended up costing a hospital or drug store? Or how much it increased the premiums for millions of people? This is a prime example on why government-corporate ties are manipulative and a bad way to solve medical and social issues.21 -

@Anonymous: Shhhh, don't tell Republicans about how Obama actually cut taxes for them. They're allergic to the truth.

The other side is trolling the mormons on http://mormon.org/ "how do we get rid of romney?"

@bleep: >mfw we were going to get single payer and never have to pay for healthcare again, and the conservatives ki-boshed it
I want to live in a country where my needs are met. Fuck competition. Fuck freedom to make over 999,999,999$ and keep all of it.
I and those like me elevated these people to billionaire status and fuck if we should need to pay for a place to sleep, or to eat, or for clean water.3 -

@Anonymous: What are you talking about, moran? Don't you know that billionaires are just hard-working patriots who earned it all themselves and they didn't have tons of workers laboring for them?
-
Anonymous
@bleep: If that's how you believe, you just endorsed nationalizing a great deal of industries.
Which I, frankly, agree with.
Corporation-government money-tube has got to stop.
Unfortunately, we were going to get a government insurance option, and it was pwned, and turned into corporate welfare. -

@Anonymous: Someone explained it to me best:
if these people are working hard all day, why should they lose a third of their wealth just because what remains is still easily more than 10 times as much as the average person? -
Anonymous
@Anonymous: Wrong, wrong wrong! Billionaires (almost always huge business owners) rely more then anyone else that interstate commerce flows using federal dollars for rail/road/airports/etc. As well as the military to help force them into new markets and set up multi-national trade agreements.

@Anonymous: Where did you hear that poor people payed nothing? If that was the case, they wouldn't be poor. They may get a full refund on their income tax, but they pay out of their asses for sales tax, payroll tax, property tax, insurance, medical care, transportation, food, and rent. The people who pay no income taxes are barely scraping by. It's astonishing how many people have bought the insidious lie that the most desperate Americans are somehow just lazy moochers.

@Anonymous: Exactly not to mention check out GE. The LARGEST company in the world, and what they pay if you want to see who pays nothing.
2 -
@Anonymous: That's using the assumption that poor people are poor because of taxes.
Do you do your own taxes?
I'm just a college student and work part time, and I get everything I pay in taxes back.
People making over a certain amount do not get that money back. -

@Anonymous: I don't believe that a plant could run our government. I know people make jokes about politicians all the time, but even the dumbest ones are smarter than plants.

@Anonymous:
I don't get how anyone can consider Obama a "radical leftist". For one thing, President Obama has moved way to the right of candidate Obama. Furthermore, American politics are the furthest to the right of those in any modern Western nation, so on any meaningful political axis Obama is center-right.21 -
