It should be noted that the Guy Fawkes Mask in general was branded to anonymous because of "EPIC FAIL GUY" so the association of Guy Fawkes Mask wearing anons with Epic Failure is rather apt.

So here's the problem with all this, and the glaring difference between this and fight club.

See, in fight club, people got real jobs in the corporate world, and in the business world, and in the fire department and shit, and they slowly and steadily infiltrated the infrastructure so that they could take it apart from the inside out by force.

In real life, they whine and complain and hope the government does something.

the nature of ideas is to evolve, hence the concept of memes being analogous to genes. "Intellectual property" is self contradictory. once an idea leaves your head it will never, ever stay the way you "made" it (you got it somewhere else anyway). any attempt to control it will result in epic failure because that would require controlling the minds of others (and their creative output). use stolen and handmade guy fawkes masks, grow guy fawkes mustaches, green guy, whatever. oh yeah and rules one and two stay.

@ed523: Dude whatever, you're looking at this all wrong. The internet is made so that we have different websites for each idea. 4chan and it's related "realms" (to use a poetic term) are what they are. Leave them alone and do something else if you want to do something else, and if it's good then I'll participate in both.

You're doing some big guy "We need to evolve into a government" hero bullshit, and there are awesome parts of our community that JUST DON'T WANT TO TALK ABOUT POLITICS.

You can use our site for what our site is meant for- and you can organize to a degree there, but don't invite people there who don't know anything about the site and tell them it's for something completely different. Just make your own site for that.

Little green stretchy spandex masks that have white text reading "Photo Unavailable" just hanging off of them in some kinda white plastic would be sweet.
