@Anonymous: It has multiple light sources, look at the back lighting, the shadow at the bottom isn't purely shadow anyway, it's partly a reflection in the surface.

@Anonymous: the shadow does not look like there are multiple light sources creating it from any other angle than the back. if it has strong light on the left side the shadow would be tucked in more and angled to the right instead of to the left. also if the surface of the table is glossy as it appears in the drawing it would definitely be getting more reflected light from the apple and pick up a lot more of the red.
