canv.as is a really open platform with a lot of potential, maybe if there were more people innovating and taking it to the next level, the reposters might realise how boring they are and start using the site to a fuller extent.

i don't like how most people give out their epics either. case in point, the bass god thread which is literally 100% images found in like the first 5 pics of a google search, and there are two oneocles and a fuckyeah last i checked, and the occasional taking-the-piss by stickering a lame post, or a text post just to start shit.
but really who are we to say how people sticker shit? hell some of my top images are just random-ass gifs or things that are completely/barely remixed(as are the best posts this year so far) which just goes to show (imo) that 1. people don't care as much about OC as you think 2. not everyone on the internet has seen as much as you have.
frankly i think the thing bringin down canv.as is all the +1 "repost" posts, and all the complaining and meta-critique of how people use the site (guilty as charged obvz.). but recently i think theres been more remixes than normal (december was a big slump, imo) and more people are just having fun. who cares if they weren't teacher's pet in english class (and you know what they meant anyway, therefore nullifying any complaints of ineffective communication) or if they meet your "ever so lofty" standards for comedy gold or artistic merit.
so maybe it isn't as big a deal as we're making it out to be, and the best way to handle it is to ignore reposts/bad shit instead of replying to it, and making sure it stays on the "new" tab, instead of just letting it fall and be forgotten.

it baffles me the amount care people have for stupid things. As much as I love Canv.as, it is just a website and people seem to take ownership of it and get really angry at meaningless thinks like reposts, or 9gag stuff.
Some people just want to share some laughs and when they see something fuuny on another website they want to share here so everyone can have fun. It doesn't need to be something to be remixed, get over it you guys, you are pathetic.
