first fuckyeah worthy politics post on canv.as imo because:
1. party neutral issue (at least in my opinion)
2. proper use of presidential power to preserve individual liberties
3. if you hate it, you KNOW you're trying too hard
@Anonymous:It says in the article that it's talking about bills that would be voted on tomorrow. I'm pretty sure it means the ones this campaign's about.
@hamslice:THATS TERRIFIC! Obama just a whole bunch of second term votes. God knows Romney, Cain, and whats his face would have signed that fucking bill the second they put it on the desk.
I don't understand how the party that recently won tons of elections through preaching about government overreach is the only party that supports a massive censorship bill. I know the easy answer is they are Republicans and they manipulate stupid people to vote for them, but HATH THEY NO SOUL?
@hamslice:oh...right. the democrats dont manipulate their constituents (whom also may be stupid).
cant we just all agree that the two parties are equally shit. isnt that what everyone in america wants? equality? no? nOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
@Anonymous:I want powerful corporations and mega banks to stop funding elections and herding people who want to make a difference in government into this bullshit 2 party system.
I live in a state that is often the biggest or most current embarrassment nationwide, and sometimes I feel like it's a smaller version of our country re: the world.
SOPA and Net neutrality are 2 separate issues folks. Net neutrality may not mean what you think, look closer. SOPA is definitively bad for us. Net neutrality maybe not.
ATTENTION, you nitwits:
Obama will veto S.J. Res. 6, not SOPA or PROTECT IP. S.J. Res. 6 is a resolution which intends to do away with the FCC's rules protecting net neutrality. Currently, the FCC prohibits ISPs from speeding up or slowing down traffic to certain websites or from blocking websites that compete with the ISP's services. S.J. Res. 6 would throw out these rules, but Obama is expected to veto it if it passes both houses of Congress. Obama is NOT expected to veto SOPA/PROTECT IP.
anyways yeah, Protect-IP, SOPA and this are different things, but they fall under basically the same principle, so I'd expect similar actions if it ever does pass.
