Hey, Canvas! We just pushed a new feature: audio remixes. You'll see this pop-up whenever you try to remix an animated gif (you can still get to the image remixer from there), but you'll also see it as an option in the right click context menu for any image.
It's pretty barebones for now and only supports audio from youtube videos. We just want to see how you guys like it, what you think it needs, etc. So give us feedback!
There's no support for thread OP audio remixes just yet, but it's on the way. If you find any bugs, please let me know. Thanks, Canvas!1 15 6 6 6 5 1 -

@Anonymous: it should be grabbing the videos over https in that case, are you seeing something different? When you say forced https canv.as, do you mean via canv.as/settings or a browser extension? If so, what browser/extension?
-
@Anonymous: Try again, that change just went through. It will use whatever protocol you're accessing Canvas with.
-
@Cariafx: Browser and OS? Do you get audio when you go to youtube.com? Do you have Flash installed?

@l0n3r: Yeah I just noticed that. Seems to be a Firefox specific bug. I'll try to kill that soon. The song is DJAA from George & Jonathan http://www.georgeandjonathan.com (DJAA is from this album: http://www.georgeandjonathan.com/thebestchristmas)

OH THE POSSIBILITIES! This is incredibly cool! I only wish we had vocaroo (or similar) support for quick improvisation.
Meanwhile, this.
Also, uploading is very slow for me lately. My traffic monitor doesn't show anything weird, so it's something to do with canv.as, I guess. Opera 11.51, if anything.1 1 -
