@Bec: This.....why are we supposed to shed tears for some capitalist bastard who just happened to be in the right place at the right time from the right social class with the proper connections.
What about the lives of many many people in some foreign land who slaved to service his moderately incremental ideas?

@Mr./Ms. Anon who replied to me;
I mean, I feel for the guy. He fought a good fought with cancer and all, but c'mon. There are other inventors and innovators who didn't get this much hype when they died, like the Wright brothers or Ford. And the people who worked behind the scenes for Jobs won't get any credit at all when they die. -
@Anonymous: Uh, as you can see, I'm still new to Canvas. I forgot about this nifty reply button. Also, nice use of irony/sarcasm at the end there.

@Anonymous: Hey I remember that...
"What's that?"
"Its an iHouse!"
"But there's no Windows!"
"Exactly! HAH HAH HAA!"2 -
@Innocent_Lies: I could understand the no-joke-too-far stance on Canvas when it was Amy Winehouse, as she mostly helped herself off that cliff, but some of this stuff about Steve Jobs is in very bad taste. I suppose that is what happens when kids with no grasp on mortality get to be anonymous online. I wonder if they will still think it's funny when someone close to them gets cancer, because statistically that is likely to happen.
@Bec There is a multitude of reasons why those inventors "didn't get this much hype", as there are as many reasons why Jobs did get this much attention. As for the "people behind the scenes"; Of course not, if you're not the face of an enormous company what do you expect. Within their own circles those people will get their credit.
And no, I am not an Apple fanboy.24 1 -

@invisibro: -_-
When cancer happens to you, except if you smoke, it's not your fault.
People can be alcoholic, but it's not an excuse.
Drugs are no excuse for death. You put substances in your body, there are risks. -
@Anonymous: Saying it's ok to make fun of someone who died because they couldn't control their urges but not ok to make fun of someone who died of other reasons seems pretty hypocritical to me, bro.

@Anonymous: Science has identified a gene that makes certain people more susceptible to developing addictions, more specifically alcohol. So, in specific cases, it isn't completely a person's fault for developing an addiction to alcohol. Yes, they can help by trying to avoid it, but it's that gene that makes it hard for them to stop once they start.

@invisibro: That is not what I said, smartass. I said I could understand it, why it made her an easy target. She was offered help at every turn, and she didn't accept it.
The two are worlds apart. -

@Squids: Isn't that the entire point of anonymous? We can say how we really feel without social backlash. I don't think it has anything to do with how old you are or anything else. Fuck steve jobs. I don't give a shit. If it was someone I knew, like my grandmother, I would realize that the people on the internet don't even know my grandmother, so guess how many fucks I'd give. I doubt anyone here knows steve jobs.

@Innocent_Lies: Nice going Anon... Getting over a hundred stickers by using a joke from 4chan.
-
Anonymous
@Anonymous: 1. Stickers don't really matter
2. I made that joke originally on /g/, so no.
3. Yeah the sticker system will always be fucked. I'd rather all the stickers I got were given to a well made and witty OC.
4. Everything is a repost of a reopst of a repost. Your argument is invalid. -
Anonymous
@Anonymous: It's when you click the retweet button on canvas and everyone spends an hour bitching about how it's not OC instead of actually making OC.
