@Anonymous: Definitely been there. I traded Phish tapes back in the day and everyone in that community was pretty much married to these.
I preferred TDK SA-90s, myself--better bass response :3 --but Maxells were the de facto standard. -

@Anonymous: I've never heard of the RIAA suing anyone for giving their soon-to-be-ex-girlfriend a horribly-chosen mix of shitty BABY YOU KNOW I LOVE YOU songs on cassette. But if you can cite some relevant case law, you go right ahead.

@Anonymous: Yeah, I remember when you could only get a rare B-side was by answering an ad in a fanzine, mailing a cassette with a SASE and hoping you got a reply. That was peer-to-peer sharing in the olden times.
