The day before canv.as goes public, we get special stickers and little stickers should be raining from the group tabs and have some big message from the mods about all the fun that has been had on beta and that canv.as is ready to go outside and face the dangerous world of the internet and this music plays in the background

@Anonymous: Yes, I envy people who make shitty music and make a lot of money for this.

@nokonoko: I realize that in order to canv.as a profitable site Moot it must one day make it public but still I worry. I'm sure that at first it will be cool lots of OC and new blood but how long till the cancer running through the blood of the Internet takes hold of canv.as. I love this site it's almost like 4chan once was and by that I mean fun and fresh, can Moot really protect his latest masterpiece? what do you my fellow canv.as users think?

@bakemonogatari: it will have to be gradual like it is now with invites. That way they can adjust the number of mods to protect the coc. moot is also not starting from square one, he has investments and a pretty awesome team. The ability to have Andrew come and be cool is a great concept and I'm sure there will be other canv.as events that will be just as if not more fun. I also think the facebook connection is good, though I don't think it should be necessary, I know so many people who just refuse to use facebook.

@bakemonogatari: that is just another way to separate people. Nothing is really gained from point out "greg wuz here 5/3/11" What should earn respect is good posting not seniority; quality of posts, not of quantity of post. Otherwise you will have the same newfriend-oldfriend schisms on 4chan and the rest of the internet. Everyone should have some degree of equality on canv.as theres no need in distinguishing who was here in beta or post beta from SXSW or any other time. And if someone really wants to see how long you've been here they can go to you page and look at all the posts you have made as far back as possible.
