New York food in general is a million times better than anything anywhere else. Nothing beats NY pizza, hot dogs, bagels, sandwiches, burgers, etc. I'm glad I'm probably going to end up with a professional job in/near the city.

@dingo8baby: Go to NY and find a Shake Shack. Try their burger and a milkshake. Your life will forever be changed, I guarantee it.

NYC pizza is the best in the world. Their hot dogs get attention, but theyre more available than anything else. In the last ten years, NYC street food has moved to those yummy shish kabob sandwiches. They've always had better chinese food than anywhere else, including China.
However, the last couple of mayors have ruined all the fun to be had in the city, so I don't go very often anymore.

@timothy: if you like Bare, try Rare - yeah i know similar but Rare is sooooooooo good

@timothy: addendum: In n Out is superior when you compare it to _any_ fast food burger joint.

p.s. 'gourmet/boutique' burger stands are not fast food. Any time you have to wait longer than 7 minutes to get a burger when there is no line is not fast food.

@Anonymous: Oh yeah I definitely miss Patxi's, which is the best Chicago style pizza found anywhere (Chicago really doesn't have good "Chicago style" pizza).

delivery pretty much sucks in LA, no matter where you live, there's usually only one stellar delivery place and that's it. Urban sprawl and all that
