@Anonymous: eh i think moot said in some early interviews the site would eventually be about remixing music, video, whatever. I dunno I get things wrong a lot because of the booze. That isn't as important as this: the site is set up well technically to build a community of semi-anonymous content producers making crackly fun shit to waste time with...but what will this community be like? If not these two sites, then what? and how do those of us who want it to go one way rather than another go about doing that?

If you want to see the way I personally want this site to be, go back in time to AlbinoBlackSheep in 2003.

Hey guys, sorry about the poop stickers. We had a bug that still showed them (they were on the site for a day or two, from our first pass at downvotes), and a user who either poked at the API directly or ran some JS directly.

@timothy: Hey you never know what the future can hold man.... I believe with a half a dozen new categories the quality of content on canv.as can shoot through the roof.

@BrockObama: We're working hard to open them up to be community created. Our seed categories were just a test. And canv.as *is* shooting through the roof. Despite the big barriers to entry (invites + fb connect), we're still struggling to keep up with the growth. (Product wise, technology wise scaling has actually been too easy *crosses fingers*).

I just meant that the users of canvas barely have their own identity. We're like a baby just learning to stand on our own legs; it's a really fun time to be here :)

Any idea of Canv.as' community size to date?
