Despite the perceptions about California, we are pretty conservative, having put into action the "three strikes law" and approved the death penalty time and again.
I also don't buy that there is some sort of secret propoganda war on Cannabis, especially not in CA, where just about everyone HAS tried it.
Truth is, a lot of people don't like it.
But, hey, man, that's OK. Keep on keepin' on with your well-thought-out accusations of simple-mindedness.

@Anonymous: Firstly that's because under our constitution every citizen has the right to bear arms, in addition most gun crime is carried out using illegal, unregistered firearms.

Secondly, your statement here "Racial discrimination runs rampant throughout the nation's Criminal Justice System" could you please explain in more detail showing evidence for this as I find that very hard to believe.

Thirdly, cannabis is dangerous as it can cause psychosis when being used, as well as the effects of long term use causing paranoid schizophrenia and other mental disorders.

Finally, this statement "through it all, the police lie and beat civilians under the premies that they are 'protecting' society" is a huge generalization of the police as a whole whereas this is only done by a very small minority of idiots who should be thrown out and sent to prison (and generally are).
